Work involves using many tools across different environments and collaborating with various people. This often leads to scattered information that never gets shared and is eventually forgotten. This week, Caret launches two bridge-building features: Workflows and Audio Uploads.

Cut the 15 minutes you spend organizing after each meeting with Workflows. Until now, you had to manually compile meeting content, share it with team members, and write follow-up emails one by one. Now, create workflows in Caret with just a few clicks. Let Caret handle sending emails and sharing to Slack while you focus on what matters.

Many of you asked to upload phone calls and in-person recordings. Now you can upload audio files to Caret to transcribe conversations and generate summaries. Gather all your team's conversations in Caret for easy management.

Automatic Meeting Detection on Windows

Windows users can now receive notifications when you're in a meeting or when there's a scheduled meeting in your calendar. Don't miss recording those impromptu meetings!

Bug Fixes and Improvements

  • Slack messages are now sent via the Caret Slack bot. Messages to private channels where the bot isn't invited will still be sent through the previous method.
  • Improved the design for shared links on mobile. Now you can chat with Caret about meeting contents on mobile pages too.
  • You can now create invitation links with no expiration date in Member Management. Thanks, Nabi!
  • You can now search for organizations in Pipedrive just like deals and leads. Thanks for the suggestion, Dokyung!
  • Fixed issues where content was being truncated or lost during summarization. Thanks for reporting, Bora!
  • We've also made improvements to service stability and the quality of summaries and transcripts.

v1.1.2: Windows version release, custom summary templates

Today we're delivering the two most requested features since our launch: custom templates and the official Windows version release. The features we're releasing this week focus on "practical assistance" as we mentioned last week. We're working hard to bring you more exciting updates soon.

Even with AI summaries, there were still some inconveniences. Maybe you had to reorganize content to match your company's meeting note format, or the AI missed truly important information forcing you to search through the conversation again... We're here to reduce those pain points.

Following custom prompts, we now offer custom templates. Create your own template specifying what content to emphasize, conversation context, and summary format, and Caret will summarize according to your template. Templates can be used for everything from Slack messages to follow-up emails. Design your own template to cut down on the time spent organizing meetings.

Since launching Caret, many of you have asked, "When will Windows version be available?" Well, today's the day!
Now Windows users can also record and summarize conversations in real-time with Caret. If you have friends or colleagues who use Windows, feel free to let them know about this update :)

The first Windows version focuses primarily on real-time recording. Calendar notifications, automatic meeting detection, and other features will be added next week. By the way, the next most common question we've heard is "When will the mobile app be available?"... Please be patient just a little longer!

We now support APIs and webhooks. If you're a developer, you can easily retrieve notes or be notified when changes occur in your notes. Thanks to Jaeyong for your suggestion!

Bug fixes and feature improvements

  • We've fixed the recording interruption issue that affected only users who had previously enabled sharing audio when screen sharing in Zoom. Thanks Bora for letting us know!
  • We've made it more explicit that Caret's data is not used to train AI. We quickly implemented this after Katie pointed it out.
  • We've also made various improvements to enhance Caret's stability.

We'll soon add support for audio file uploads. Even before our mobile app is released, you'll be able to upload call recordings or offline recordings to Caret. This should be particularly helpful for sales professionals.

It's easy to forget to share notes after a meeting ends. We'll be releasing automation features soon. When a meeting ends, you can automatically trigger workflows like sending Slack messages or emails. Start saving those post-meeting 15 minutes with Caret.

After our recent major update and several bug fixes, we've been thinking about what would provide "real practical" value to you. This v1.1.1 update focuses more on those practical aspects.

Just reducing the need to copy and paste conversation records can save significant time. Now when your conversation ends, just hit the [Send to Notion] button. We'll automatically upload your conversation record and summary. Thanks to the 31 users who requested Notion integration, including Nabi, Beomjun, Seongsik, Hyuntae, and Seongdo!

This is just the beginning - we're gradually experimenting with bringing meeting notes from Notion into Caret, or conversely, using Caret's content to populate your Notion meeting notes.

If you open a note ahead of time, recording will start automatically when the scheduled time arrives. If it's an online meeting, we provide a button for easy access to join. While you have the note open early, why not jot down questions, agenda items, or other notes?

More accurate voice recognition (featuring echo cancellation, noise reduction)

In this v1.1.1 update, we've further improved voice recognition. We've solved several issues: intermittent recording failures, problems with background noise in offline meetings preventing proper recording, and sentences appearing twice when laptop speakers are on. Thanks to Sungjin and Dokyung for your feedback!

Thorough security measures

You can now set Caret to automatically delete notes after specific periods, such as 1 week or 3 months. You can also choose not to save audio files. Additionally, we've added an option to filter out sensitive information like credit card numbers, passwords, and personal identifiers during recording. You can configure these settings in [Settings] > [Privacy].

With these options enabled, Caret can be used even in recruitment interviews or privacy-sensitive organizations. Thanks to Katie and Bora for raising these important points that we quickly implemented :)

We're adding a new free plan and increasing the basic usage time for all plans. Thanks to last week's Voice Engine V2 improvements, we can now offer Caret to more users! πŸ™‡

  • Free Plan: 200 minutes provided every month (automatically transitions from Plus Plan 14-day trial)
  • Lite Plan: Increased from 300 to 500 minutes per month
  • Plus Plan: Increased from 1000 to 1500 minutes per month
  • Team Plan: Increased from 2000 to 3000 minutes per person per month

These changes will take effect from Monday, February 24th. Many upcoming Caret features will be applied differently to each plan based on purpose.

With the introduction of Voice Engine V2, we've significantly improved stability and accuracy. While previously we'd correct recordings after meetings ended, we now make corrections in real-time, resulting in more reliable meeting records.
